Natalia Alianovna Romanova, better known as Natasha Romanoff, was born on December 3, 1984, in Stalingrad, Russia. She was abducted and experimented on as part of the Black Widow Program, an initiative of the covert training ops known as the Red Room under purview of the KGB.

She was raised and trained as a spy from infancy, working undercover for the KGB on numerous covert missions and assassinations until she attempted to escape by destroying the Red Room from the top down, aided by S.H.I.E.L.D. agent Clint Barton. Henceforth working with the agency, Natasha is an exceptionally skilled intelligence agent, capable of pulling entire operations on her own, and seamlessly integrating into clandestine operations at the last minute.

She would find herself becoming an Avenger during the events that lead to the New York Invasion of the Chitauri, and was an integral part of the victory against galactic invader Thanos.
